Summary

 

Ideal candidate is someone looking to start a career in a Business Operations role or an individual that wants a start in the Wine and Spirits Industry.  Primary responsibilities include assisting the Business Operations Team in day-to-day tasks and assignments in order to facilitate on-time and seamless functionality between Romano Beverage sales team and their delivery partners.

  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

 

The essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Run and prepare reports for next day deliveries to pass along to warehouse team through internal reporting system.
  • Audit outgoing orders using pre-set reporting suite to ensure pricing, availability and accuracy of orders shipping the following day.
  • Enter pre-sold, EDI and Chain Distro sales orders into RAS system in timely and accurate manner for next day delivery.
  • Understand Gross Profit (GP) and Margin % and identify and alert management of potential issues with sales orders not achieving company goals regarding margin or GP. 
  • Assist sales reps in a timely and accurate fashion through phone calls and emails relating to product availability, delivery information and status of credits, invoices etc.
  • Issue and track customer pick-up credits in timely manner
  • Assist AR in researching of customer short pays and issue credits when appropriate.
  • Learn to become reliable resource in company’s RAS to train new hires and assist sales force with technical handheld questions. 
  • Set-up new customers as communicated by sales force in timely, accurate manner for ability to deliver product the next day.
  • Assist in data scrubs for setting up new products, suppliers, and pricing modules in company database.
  • Assist with managing and maintain product holds and allocations

 Qualifications 

 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

 

Education and/or Experience    

 Required:

  • Associates Degree in a related and/or equivalent field.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Ability to learn and master company reporting and data systems
  • Demonstrated problem solving and teamwork skills

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related and/or equivalent field.
  • Advanced Excel ability
  • Experience using Encompass Software
  • Wine & Spirits background

Language Skills                                                

 

Ability to read and interpret documents such as instructions, correspondence, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write correspondence and routine reports.  Ability to speak effectively and present information one-on-one and before small groups of employees of the organization. 

 

 

Mathematical Skills                                                       

 

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent, percent change, profit and profit margin.

 

Reasoning Ability                                             

 

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

Computer Skills                                                

 

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have advanced PC skills and knowledge of Internet software and Microsoft Office applications. 90% of job function is performed on computer. Must have the ability to operate general office equipment including copier and fax machine.

Compensation will commensurate with experience.
