Job Description

SURESTAFF is immediately hiring a Shipping Clerk for a large, well-known client in Itasca, IL. As a skilled Shipping Clerk you will be responsible for exporting and tracking shipments to final destination. You will approve invoices, communicate with outside vendors and work with customer service to ensure customer satisfaction.

Available shifts include 8am-4:30pm. Monday-Friday

Shipping Clerk Duties and Responsibilities

This position will interact with other regional peers and may require direct instruction to internal departments, Operations on the preparation, documentation, and the packaging of inbound or outbound shipments or consolidations.
Tracking and tracing all international and domestic shipments.
Monitoring all shipments enroute to and from the facility to the final processing gateway or vendor and escalate any irregularities.
Reconciling of accounts in a timely manner.
Cooperative demeanor and willingness to provide assistance and support to company personnel.
Ability to research, track, and reconcile and document issues and discrepancies.
Excellent communication skills required to report to management and compile reports/summaries on assigned activity areas.
Commitment to compliance with established standards, procedures, and applicable laws.
Passion for continued learning and updating job knowledge.

Shipping Clerk Requirements and Qualifications

High school degree.
Self-starter, ability to work independently and troubleshoot.
Commitment to accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to perform all filing and record keeping duties.
Solid data entry and word processing skills.
Excellent organization skills.
