THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE:

The key role of this position will be to provide support for multiple areas within the tax department including Sales & Use Tax, Property tax, State and Federal income tax, Licensing and assisting management on special projects as needed. There will be a significant interface with the tax department personnel and other business partners throughout the organization, as well as contacting the necessary taxing jurisdictions for notices, research, audits, and other correspondence.

YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH THESE GOALS BY:

  • Pull, Scan and Document various fixed asset and expense invoices.
  • Assist with the receiving and mailing of store licenses, renewals, and any corresponding permits.
  • Assist with tax audits as necessary.
  • Assist with tax and licensing research.
  • Maintenance of all tax calendars (PPT, State Income Tax, Sales & Use, Unclaimed Property).
  • Prepare mail certifications for all tax returns, including getting certifications stamped at the post office and matching certifications upon return.
  • Manage all tax vendor payments and jurisdiction state tax payments (PPT, income tax and sales & use).
  • Collaborate with various staff on arranging use of conference rooms for audits and department meetings.
  • Manage tax department incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Orders and tracks office supplies for the tax department.
  • Work on special projects as assigned.
  • Manage Topia Travel System.

THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS:

  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration a plus.
  • 2- 5 years in a large corporate work environment a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and work attitude to meet compliance due dates without fail.
  • Strong telephone communication skills are a must.
  • Ability to multi-task a must.
  • Must be a strong team player.
  • Must conduct herself/himself in a professional, respectful, and appropriate manner at all times.
  • Previous administrative tax work experiences a strong plus.
  • Demonstrate user and working knowledge of Microsoft applications. SAP, One Source and LHQ knowledge a plus.
