Job Description

Harris & Harris has more than 50 years of experience, and offers revenue recovery and customer care services to three main markets-Healthcare, Government, and Utilities. We currently have an outstanding team of customer care professionals who know what it takes to delight customers every day, every shift, and every call. Our team of knowledgeable, patient, courteous, efficient, and caring Customer Care Representatives for our Government team is growing!

Customer Care Representative – Government

Schedule: Monday through Friday - 7:30am to 4:30pm, some weekends may be required

Pay: $41,600 annually

Location: On-site at our office at 111 W. Jackson Blvd in Downtown Chicago, near to Metra and CTA lines

WHAT THE ROLE REQUIRES

  • Maintaining a positive, professional attitude toward customers at all times, while ensuring customer satisfaction and providing a professional level of support
  • Offering customers appropriate payment solutions for tax debt based on their individual financial circumstances
  • Creating detailed records of customer interactions, transactions, comments and complaints in various databases and navigating multiple screens

WHAT YOU MUST POSSESS

  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a contact center/call center environment
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Basic computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to type at 40 words per minute and talk simultaneously
  • Ability to navigate multiple systems and use appropriately depending on call type

Nice to Have: Professional Spanish bilingual skills
