Search Made Easy (SME) is a national brand with a local focus. SME is focused on delivering the human capital and recruiting needs of Chicagoland companies at their various sites. Presently working with a GLOBAL Manufacturing powerhouse delivering services in Metals and Plastics. This company is at the top of their game and widely recognized in the industry. Together we are looking for an Account Manager focusing on Inside Sales in their Plastics Division near Schaumburg, Il. Duties are listed below but summarized as providing best price and delivery for over 16K parts and products to manufacturers and distributors in every thing from Aerospace to Food. Base > Commission (~15%).
Typical Day to Day (job responsibilities):
- Process Sales Orders
- Provide Technical Assistance to existing and potential new clients
- Utilize the telephone, e-mail, even fax machines to close the deal
- Process returns, credits and debits to keep things moving
- Work with distribution channel partners to know what's in stock, what can move and what needs to be ordered
- Work with internal customers like Quality, Logistics, Procurement to make sure best product is delivered as expected
- Monitoring competition prices and products
- Learning the business, products, services and customer demands
What you bring to the table (successful candidates will have these traits/experiences):
- 2-3 years Plastics or Metals sales experience (almost required- ok required)
- Bachelors degree would be awesome but experience could suffice (customer service, account management, even outside sales)
- Full and complete control of the English language (written, spoken, implied works too right?)
- Interpersonal skills that make people like you (helps to negotiate, and close business)
- Attention to detail (ok, this is generic but it'll only help you be awesome at this gig)
- Understanding of how digital devices work (computer, cell phone, pager, CNC machine- ok maybe not a pager, but you get the point)
- Experience using a large platform to deliver expectations, order things and be accountable for your work (Salesforce.com, SAP, Oracle, etc)
- Ability to Listen and Speak to needs, empathize and provide solutions
