Account Manager

This position will represent CJ to assigned customers in the North America market and will report to the VP of Human Nutrition and Health. Success in this position requires strong relationship building skills, technical competence in the food industry, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with teammates to drive collective results.

This role will cover East Coast and Mountain Time Zone Territories.

Job Description and Responsibilities

· Develop relationship with the assigned customer base in the food industry.

· Communicate customer developments and company positioning to internal stakeholders as directed.

· Develop and implement key account strategies which drive and maintain customer satisfaction.

· Prepare, negotiate, and present commercial offers and/or supply agreements.

· Differentiate CJ by effectively communicating value at multiple levels and departments in the customer organizations to include purchasing, nutrition and health production and operations.

· Effectively utilize tools and support, contributing to a culture of teamwork and collaboration.

· Build and maintain relationship with customers, industry influencers and key strategic partners within the food industry.

· Plan and manage sales exhibits.

· Identify key industry trade shows and attend to represent the company.

· Achieve revenue budget and growth targets through strong tactical implementation.

· Coordinate sales activities across multi-disciplinary teams including but not limited to marketing, supply chain, and technical service.

· Keep informed of food industry market trends, competitor’s activity, and developments.

· Resolve customer complaints or issues while protecting company assets and interests.

· Perform other duties as needed.

Job Qualifications, Education and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college in Business or related field.

· 5+ years of experience in a customer or supplier facing role.

· Nutrition and food technical sales experience preferred.

· Strong understanding of sales or operations in food ingredient industry required.

· Ability to communicate effectively and participate in a continuous improvement culture, including problem solving skills.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to present technical data.

· Computer skills: MS Office, SAP, Sales Force.
