• Serves as primary client lead for health & welfare small and middle-market group business

• Supervises and works in collaboration with Account Managers to achieve client program objectives and goals

• Establishes and maintains strong and productive professional relationships with C-Level and HR decision makers

• Has primary responsibility for retaining client accounts, growing revenues, and acting as the de factor technical expert and broker-consultant

•  Develops and leads overall program strategy, renewal marketing and insurer negotiations, communications approach, collateral development, vendor management, implementation, and open enrollment meetings

•  Proactively drives discussion around plan performance, monitoring trends and making recommendations to improve program effectiveness

•  Provide expertise through the stewardship process while contributing information and ideas during strategy meetings by delivering creative and practical solutions, ensuring compliance with all regulatory guidelines

• Bachelor’s Degree  in Business Administration or

related field and/or years of experience equivalent

• Previous health & welfare benefits insurer or brokerage/consulting experience required

• Current Life & Health Producer License

• Extensive insurance industry knowledge through experience and/or course work, including alternative funding arrangements and cost-mitigation strategies

• Demonstrated professional, tactful negotiation and persuasion skills to achieve objectives

• Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)

• Ability to utilize and be proficient in broker management systems

• Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills and ability to interact with Associates at all levels of responsibility
