Job Description

Purpose of this Job

The District Sales Manager (DSM) primary role is to manage the day-to-day team activities including the execution of all sales and operations goals.

KEY responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Develop and enhance processes improve the organization, market, and personnel 
  • Develop specific plans to ensure both long and short-term growth of volume and key metric goals for the team
  • Develop specific plans to ensure both long and short-term growth of personnel
  • Monitor performance to ensure achievement of sales goals and promotion execution
  • Accountable for establishing and communicating weekly sales goals
  • Monitor inventory, invoices, and deposits to verify compliance timeliness 
  • As business needs adjust, other duties may be assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set expectations and monitor goals to ensure accountability for all member of the team as a group and as individuals
  • Provide on-the-job training and coaching to achieve sales and operations goals
  • Develop professional relationships with Power personnel, customers, and supplier to maximize partnerships 
  • Work with all employees to create short and long-term career development plans
  • Ensure Power Selling adoption and implementation 
  • Identify potential issues and suggest prompt solutions
  • Identify, address and correct performance issues

COMPENSATION

  • Bi-Weekly salary
  • Monthly auto allowance 
  • Yearly and monthly bonus plan

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • High level of business acumen
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint 
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Valid driver’s license and able to maintain DOT medical card
  • Must be at least 21 years old

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Management experience with Power Distributing
  • Sales management experience in DSD beverages 
  • Additional language skills an advantage

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds of inventory as needed
  • Employee is occasionally required to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Employee frequently is required to walk and sit
  • Responsible for overall safety and safe operation of motor vehicle
